Brief Intro

This course is designed, primarily, to explore first and second language acquisition, the impact of culture on language, the 4 domains of language (syntax, semantics, grapho-phonics, & pragmatics), receptive and expressive language development, and a brief overview of the history of the English language .
Part of its focus is to examine pedagogy and methodology that can be used in various areas within a classroom setting.
Throughout the course, we will explore research relating directly to language development in native and non-native English speakers.
Finally, this course will look at the role technology plays in teaching and language development.
